Mindvia Support

Help with Mindvia. Can't find your answer? Write to us.

Need help now? Mindvia can't provide emergency help, and nobody monitors what you write in the app. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number now.

Signing in

My sign-in code doesn't arrive
  1. Check your spam or junk folder. The code comes from hello@outofmindapps.com, and the subject starts with "Your Mindvia code".
  2. Check the email address you typed. Tap Use a different email to fix it.
  3. Wait 60 seconds, then tap Send a new code. Asking again sooner doesn't send another one.
  4. If you asked more than once, use the newest code.

Still nothing after a few minutes? Try Continue with Google, or email us.

How does Google sign-in work?

Tap Continue with Google. A Google sheet opens where you pick your account. Then you're back in Mindvia, signed in. Mindvia gets your email address from Google, never your Google password.

If the sheet closes without signing you in, check your internet connection and try again. You can also use email instead. On a new iPhone, sign in the same way you did before.

Can I sign in with Apple?

Sign in with Apple is coming soon. For now, use email or Google.

Backups and your data

I got a new iPhone. How do I get my entries back?

Your backup is locked with a key in your iCloud Keychain. To open it, the new iPhone needs the same Apple Account with iCloud Keychain on.

  1. On your old iPhone, open Mindvia and check Settings → Account → Last backup. Mindvia backs up once a day when you open it. Tap Back up now for a fresh one.
  2. On the new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account. Open iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Passwords and turn on syncing for this iPhone.
  3. Install Mindvia and sign in the same way as before.
  4. Tap Settings → Account → Restore from backup, check the date and confirm. The backup replaces what's on the new iPhone.

If Mindvia says the key isn't on this iPhone, turn on iCloud Keychain for the same Apple Account, wait a minute and try again. If the key is lost, the backup can't be restored, and we can't recover it. Nobody else holds the key, so nobody else can read your backup.

How do I delete my account?

In Mindvia, open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. This removes your account, your encrypted backups and your weekly email choice from our server. Everything on your iPhone stays. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription.

To remove everything from your iPhone as well, use Settings → Erase everything. If you can't open the app, email us from the address you signed in with and we'll delete your account for you.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes, for free. Open Settings → Privacy → Export my data and tap Create file. The file holds your check-ins, journal and answers. Once it leaves Mindvia, keeping it safe is up to you.

Plus

How do I cancel Mindvia Plus?

Apple manages subscriptions. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Mindvia. Apple explains it here: View, change or cancel your subscriptions.

On the yearly free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends so you aren't charged. Mindvia reminds you 2 days before. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription.

What happens to my entries if Plus ends?

They stay. Your notes, check-ins, journal, readings and results are always yours. Only the Plus features lock again.

Reminders and emails

How many reminders can I have?

Free includes 1 reminder a day, at a time you pick. With Plus, you can add as many as you like, up to 1 an hour, each with its own topic. Change them in Settings → Reminders, where you can also pause them for a week.

My reminders don't arrive
  1. Open the iPhone Settings app, tap Notifications, then Mindvia, and turn on Allow Notifications.
  2. Check that a Focus mode (like Sleep or Work) isn't silencing Mindvia.
  3. If you use Scheduled Summary, iOS may hold reminders until the next summary. Take Mindvia out of the summary.
  4. Open Mindvia now and then. The app plans your notes a few weeks ahead, and opening it keeps them coming.
What is the weekly email, and how do I unsubscribe?

"Weekly self-love, astrology and psychology tips and early access" is 1 short email a week: a self-love or psychology tip, what the stars are up to, early access to new features and the occasional offer. It's for adults only, and it's off unless you switch it on. Signing in doesn't subscribe you.

To stop it, tap the unsubscribe link in any weekly email, or switch it off in Settings → Account.
