Mindvia Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Mindvia, an iPhone app made by outofmindapps. By using Mindvia you agree to them. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to every app you download from the App Store. The Mindvia privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

What Mindvia is for

Mindvia offers daily notes and affirmations, a mood check-in, a journal, breathing exercises, short psychology lessons, reflection prompts and astrology. It's for everyday reflection.

• Mindvia is not medical advice, therapy, a diagnosis or treatment. For your health, talk to a doctor or a qualified professional.
• Mindvia is not emergency help, and nobody monitors what you write. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number. You can find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
• Astrology, tarot and moon content are symbolic traditions, offered for reflection and entertainment. They don't predict anything. Please don't base health, legal, money or other important decisions on them.

Age

The journal, mood records, birth chart and Plus are for people 18 and over. If you tell Mindvia you're under 18, it shows the daily notes only. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you create an account.

Your account

You can sign in with an email code or Google. Sign in with Apple is coming soon. Keep access to your email and sign-in accounts to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account.

Your entries and backups

What you write in Mindvia is yours. It's stored on your iPhone and, while you're signed in, in an encrypted backup that only you can open. The key for that backup lives in your iCloud Keychain. If it's lost, for example because iCloud Keychain is off or you use a different Apple Account, we can't restore your backup. Mindvia backs up once a day while the daily backup is on. Tap Back up now before you change phones, to be sure the newest copy is saved. You can export a copy of your data for free in Settings → Privacy → Export my data.

Mindvia Plus and free trials

• Plus is an optional subscription sold by Apple through the App Store: $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year in the US. The price for your country is shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the next period within the 24 hours before the current one ends.
• You can manage or cancel it in your iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app, erasing your data or deleting your account doesn't cancel it.
• The yearly plan comes with a 7-day free trial if your Apple Account is eligible. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and Apple charges you. Mindvia reminds you 2 days before the trial ends. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• If Plus ends, you keep everything you made. Only the Plus features lock again.

If you say yes to the weekly email from the offer in the app, you get 7 extra days of Plus. It's given once, never on top of a paid subscription, and it ends on its own.

Content

Mindvia's notes, lessons and readings are fixed texts that come with the app. Nothing is generated by AI while you use it. Lessons are general education, not advice for your situation. We work to keep them accurate, but mistakes happen. If you spot one, tell us at hello@outofmindapps.com and we will fix it.

Adults can switch on "spicy words", which adds mild swearing to some notes. It's off unless you turn it on, and those notes never appear on your lock screen.

Fair use

Please don't copy Mindvia or its content in bulk, try to break or overload our servers, sign in with someone else's email, or use the app to break the law or harm anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.

Our responsibility

We provide Mindvia "as is". We do our best to keep it working and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be free of bugs or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for decisions you make based on the app's content, or for a backup that can't be restored because its key was lost. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

Changes

We may update these terms as Mindvia grows. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if a change matters.
